Sick-o-pants

Rachel and I got an awesome welcome home present when we got home from our trip to Texas. We both got sick. Rachel had a fever for a few days and then broke out in a rash that covered her body. I got a major head cold with boogers, sneezing, major headaches, the works. We haven't gone anywhere since we came back Monday night because we have both been just too sick. We haven't gone too stir crazy though because both of my sisters that live here in town have come to visit while we have been sick and stuck here. I still haven't decided whether or not we should go to church today. We are feeling better than we have but still not 100% and I don't want to get anyone sick. My happy smiling baby turned into a whiney sad one. I felt so sad for my sweet little baby! I could tell she just didn't feel good, but it was also hard because she just wanted me to hold her the entire time! Any time I put her down she would get this sad look on her face start fussing and say "Mama." That is right, she says Mama, but only when she is fussing. I'm not sure if she really knows that mama is me, but it sure seems like it because she is always looking right at me when she says it. It is sad because she is whining and doesn't feel good, but it is really cute to hear her say it!

Here is a picture of her on one of the rashey days. Her rash was worst on her face and behind her ears. It didn't really show up very much in the picture, but even though she is smiling you can tell she doesn't feel very good in this picture!

I hope that both Rachel and I start feeling better soon!

Happy Anniversary

Jacob and I have been married for 3 years! Yesterday was our anniversary, and although we didn't get to see each other on our anniversary, we got to spend the weekend with each other. It was so much fun to get to see Jacob again! I have the most amazing husband! He was so cute and sent me flowers for our anniversary yesterday! I sure have missed that cute husband of mine! I knew I was missing him, but I don't know that I really knew how much I had been missing him until I saw him again! Our weekend was so nice! Rachel was happy to be with her daddy again (after she got used to him again) and Rachel and I both survived the flights. The one thing that didn't survive though was my computer which I am really quite sad about. It has all of my pictures on it. I am really hoping that my brother-in-law will either be able to save my computer, or if he can't do that, I'm hoping he can at least get my pictures off of it! I just need to find a time to bring it over to him so he can look at it! I only got back into town late Monday night, and Rachel and I have both been sick since then so right now we are just trying to get over whatever it is that we have and get our lives back together. I won't be blogging much until I get my computer problem all sorted out. I'm pretty sad about that too! My mom was nice and let me borrow her computer for me to blog now though. Hopefully I can get it all figured out and will be back to blogging.
I better quite now, my baby isn't happy with me for putting her down so I could type. I hope we both get feeling better quick!

Having a Ball

A few weeks ago I bought a ball as a birthday present for my nephew Brock. I bought it a few days before his birthday so I let Rachel play with it before I gave it to him. (Is that naughty?) She really liked it. She couldn't hold on to it since it was as big as she was but it was cute to see how excited she was to play with it.

The dog came in and wanted to play with the ball too! Or maybe she just wanted to play with Rachel.

Maybe I'll have to get her a ball for her first birthday or something when she can actually hold it.

I want a treatment!

My mom runs a business from her home which is an alternative medicine type thing. She does a lot with allergy elimination among other things, and let me tell you, she is awesome. She has helped me and Rachel and many many other people both in our family with allergies and other health problems. When we moved here, Rachel got this awful rash on her neck that was just getting worse and worse. She had gotten that rash while we were in Monterey, but it would always clear up. My mom gave her a treatment and I bought some cream to put on it, and because we did them both at about the same time we aren't sure which one cleared up the rash, but the rash from her neck is gone. Whether it was from my mom or not, I still am grateful for the other allergies my mom has helped us with. Rachel loves her grandma and loves to come play in her treatment room/office!

Today is actually my mom and dad's 33 anniversary. Wow, that is a long time to be married! I'm excited for when we get to say we've been married for 33 years! I wonder what our life will be like then? Jacob and I are going on 3 years this month. Unfortunately we won't be able to be together on our anniversary this year again. That makes 2 out of 3 that we will have been apart because of the military! I am quite excited though because Rachel and I are going to visit him this weekend. In fact we leave tomorrow! I can hardly wait to go and see my sweetheart! I'm pretty nervous about flying with Rachel all by myself though. I hope she does okay! Wow, it has been almost a month since Jacob left. It has gone by fast and slow at the same time. It will be one month on Saturday. One down, several to go. :'( I'm just excited for the time that we will be able to spend with each other. I'm so looking forward to seeing him tomorrow! Wish me luck with the traveling!

pink dress

A while ago I was shopping at Wal-mart (it seems like I go shopping a lot, but I really don't!) and I found a couple of little baby dresses on clearance for only 3 dollars each. They were so cute, I was way happy with my find. I let Rachel wear one of them that Sunday and she was so cute and happy I just had to take some pictures! Rachel is such a happy baby! I just love how easy it is to make her smile. It makes her a fun person to take pictures of! I just love these pictures of her in her little pink dress that I want to look at them over and over again. I'm lucky though, I get to see her happy smiling face any time I want to, I don't have to look at the pictures to see it! :)
