So last night I was feeling a lot of anxiety about our trip to St. George. Anxiety about the drive alone with two little ones. Anxiety about leaving Jacob. Anxiety about my niece's surgery. Anxiety about watching my other niece and nephew because I haven't spent much time with them for a long time. Jacob was sweet and offered to give me a priesthood blessing. (If you don't know what that is click here.) It was a very sweet and powerful blessing and through it all I was filled with an overwhelming feeling of love from my Heavenly Father. Among other things we were promised a safe return home. I had a rough day with the kids yesterday, trying to get everything ready for our trip, and dealing with kids that weren't being as nice as they should have been, and after my rough day it was really neat to be able to feel the love of my Father in Heaven letting me know that he is pleased with me and that no matter what he will always love me.
Last night, Kent slept all night long with out waking up. He NEVER does that! I know that it was another blessing from my Heavenly Father helping us all to get the sleep that we needed to go safely and happily on our way this morning. I'm so thankful for a husband that holds the priesthood and is worthy of it. I'm thankful that if I ever am in need of a blessing I don't have to wonder if he is worthy and able to give me one. I am very thankful for a Heavenly Father who loves me and who guides me in all I do. I know he loves me.

St. George
Tomorrow morning I am taking my two kids and starting the 10 1/2 hour drive to Southern Utah...without my husband. Yes I'm crazy, but I'm also brave. I'm going to go help watch two of my sister's kids while she is 5 hours away with her oldest child who will be getting her second open heart surgery. My niece is 6. I can't imagine having to watch your child endure something so painful and scary, let alone being the child that has to go through it!
If anyone reading this could please take an extra few seconds in your prayers to mention my niece I would appreciate it. One of my other sisters is also going to help me with the kids. Between the two of us we will be taking care of 5 kids ages 4,2,1,1,and 6 months. While you are mentioning my niece in your prayers, will you mention us too? It will be fun to spend time with those cute little munchkins, but I'd be kidding myself if I didn't acknowledge the fact that its going to be crazy too.
I know it's only going to be a few weeks, but I have a hard time leaving Jacob. He is so good and supportive. He didn't even question my going and helping when I told him about Sydney's surgery, in fact before I could even ask him if I could go help out he just assumed I would. I love that boy!
The craziness starts tomorrow! Wish us luck!

Kiddos
Here's just a few pictures I took before we moved. Its only been about 6 weeks since we left, but already I can't believe how much they are changing, especially my Kent boy!! HE looks so little in these pictures to me.

To Josh
We were writing letters to Jacob's brother Josh who is on an LDS mission to Panama the other day and Rachel decided she wanted to write to Uncle Josh too:
I love how well she is doing with reading and writing! It is so fun to see her learn new things and see the confidence she gets as she masters them!

First Hair Cut
Just before Kent's birthday Jacob decided it was time for Kent to get his first hair cut. Actually, Jacob decided he needed a hair cut a few months ago, but I just couldn't let him buzz my baby's hair. We decided to just buzz in verses taking him somewhere to actually get it cut by a professional because this kid cannot sit still for any length of time. In fact, the only way he falls asleep is if he is held down in one way or another (high chair, car seat, mama, etc).
We thought he would absolutely hate getting his hair cut, but Jacob was really cute with him and let him get used to the hair clippers first so he was okay with it.

I can't believe how big he looks with his hair cut so short! He doesn't look like a baby anymore! I love my handsome little boy!

6- If you could have 3 wishes, what would you wish for?
Here's number 6. Maybe by the time I'm 30, I'll get around to answering all 30 questions!
1. I wish I could teleport. It seems like I am always wishing for this one! Especially when Jacob is gone for training or something. Think of how nice it would be if while he was deployed he could come home every night with out having to actually do the traveling, and how easy vacations would be if you didn't have to spend the 10 hours in the car first, or spend a bunch of money on plane tickets. I could see my family as often as I wanted.

2. I wish I knew how many kids I would have and all of their birthdays. It would be nice to know when they were going to come and how many we are going to have. I'm a planner and would love to have this part all planned out, and what pregnant woman wouldn't love to know exactly what day their baby was going to come so they can plan for child care and know exactly how long they have to get their house cleaned up?
3. I wish I didn't have to sleep. It would be so nice to have all of that extra time to do what ever I wanted or needed to. I still want everyone else to have to sleep, but it would be so nice if I didn't have to.
