Yum!!!

I just had the most delicious avocado, ham, and string cheese sandwhich, with a little salt and pepper on the avocado. I wish I was still hungry so I could justify eating another one, but sadly, I am not. Mmmm...it was soooooo good! My mouth is happy! Sometimes when your pregnant, things taste sooooooo good. It's only fair though because for a good part of pregnancy, things that are normally yummy are contaminated and no longer even edible. Some things about being pregnant are so weird!

Pregnancy update

So I'm about 14 1/2 weeks along but I feel like my tummy pokes out way farther than it should!! I can't believe how pregnant I look already!

A couple things about this pregnancy so far:

I've been sick! I get sick around 10 in the morning every day which a little snack usually helps. Then I am sick from 3:00 every day until I go to sleep. It makes making dinner particularly hard every day. Some days I'm sick all day long but others I'm just sick at the normal times.

I haven't had really any weird cravings. Mostly I've been in the stage where it's hard to find something I can eat that doesn't sound absolutely disgusting. 

I can't eat garlic. With each of my pregnancies, I've had a hard time with garlic, but it seems to be getting worse with each one. I can't even use a little garlic powder to season things. The other day I made spaghetti and the only spaghetti sauce we had left in the pantry had garlic in it. I used it anyway and was extra sick all night after wards. Then I had some leftovers the next day and ended up losing my lunch. It's bit that I just done like garlic while I'm pregnant, but it is actually making me sick. Totally weird!

Even with my tummy as huge as it is, I still fit into my normal clothes. I've pulled out a few maternity things just to have a little variety but don't need them quite yet. Rachel is really funny though. Anytime I wear some of my maternity clothes she tells me how much she likes them.  She totally notices every shirt or pants or dress I wear. She makes me laugh.

Kent loves to pull up my shirt and kiss my tummy. It's super cute!!

Last time I had weighed myself (last week) I hadn't gained anything yet which is always nice. Now that I'm out of my first trimester though I'm sure that will be changing soon.

My baby is the size of a lemon! I think it's amazing how fast babies grow from something you can't see to a full size baby! 9 months is really an amazingly fast time for that to happen!

I have my first OB appointment and ultrasound next week and I am sooooo excited! I can hardly wait to see this little baby I'm growing in my tummy! It will be too early to tell the gender but I don't care, I'm just excited to be able to see my little lemon wiggling! I love ultrasounds! 

A trip down memory lane

EMy Rachel girl is so funny. She begs me to tell her the story of when she was in my tummy and when she was born almost every day. She loves hearing about how excited we were and she tells us how excited she was to be in my tummy too. She also asks me about when Kent was in my tummy but she's more interested in when she was. Today we pulled up my blog and looked at pictures of her when she was a baby and her and Kent just loved it! It was so crazy to see those pictures and remember what it was like being a first time mom and moving in with my parents when Rachel was 4 months old, while Jacob and I were apart for 6 months. What a crazy time that was! It seems sooooooo long ago instead of just the three short years it's been. So much has happened in such a short amount of time. So many moves, and so many friends. So much time apart and then the time together making it all worth it. Being a mom of 1 is so different than being a mom of 2. With just one child, you are their playmate. You do nothing but entertain them all day long. With two, they go off and play with each other. They still want you involved but it's easier to get things done because you know they will watch out for each other. I love these little munchkins of mine and can't wait to meet their new sibling!

Almost 12 weeks

So, I'm almost 12 weeks (tomorrow) and showing way more than I did with my other two kiddos at this far along. I just thought I would post a couple of pictures because who knows when I'll get around to taking any more.

I'm not having any trouble fitting into my normal clothes or anything yet, but I feel like my tummy is poking out way more than it should at the point, but I also remember when my sisters were pregnant with their third babies and they started showing earlier too. I still don't even have an appointment made with my OB (waiting on insurance stuff), but I can't wait to have an ultrasound and see our little one. Ultrasounds are seriously the best ever and one of the only things that makes it worth going to OB appointments in my opinion.

Wild Child!

So, I've been keeping a package of soda crackers on my nightstand because I've been super sick, especially at night time. The kids found my stash and think they are the greatest things ever. Earlier today, I told Kent it was time for lunch and I went into the kitchen to make it. A few minutes later he came down the stairs with the crackers in hand. When I went upstairs to put him down for a nap this is what I found in my room. I'm soooooo glad he didn't get hurt when this happened!! I didn't even hear the crash from downstairs! 

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this kid!! We will be lucky if he lives til he's a grown up (because he's wild, not because I'm going to kill him) (I realized that could be taken wrong after I wrote it). I love this wild child! 

Shots

My Kent dude had to get shots at the dr today. He was loving the appointment until the very end when we had to hold him down and I think he was majorly offended. Poor kid! Just one more appointment for him in a couple of months and he will be all caught up. (Yes I'm a slacker mom, it's true.) 

Poor kid was all tuckered out on the way home.
