12 weeks

Wow! It is so crazy that I am already 12 weeks along! It is almost time to say goodbye to my first trimester! Yay! Our baby weighs about 1/2 ounce and is about 2 1/2 inches long! My first doctors appointment will be next Tuesday. Unfortunately that appointment isn't with the OB. It is with my primary care physician who will then refer me to an OB. I like the free medical that comes with Jacob being in the military, but I don't like the long waits to get into the doctors!
I can hardly believe that April is almost over and that May starts this week! Where has this year gone? It seems like in only just started and now it is almost half over! This little baby is probably going to be here before we know it and we haven't done a thing to prepare for it! I wish we knew what the gender of our baby is! It would be so nice to be able to call it a him or a her instead of an it! Sometimes I just sit and wonder what our baby will be like. Is it a boy or a girl? What will our baby look like? What types of things will he or she like to do? Will they be into music or sports or reading or will they just like to spend time playing with family and friends? Will they be a tease like their mom or will they be smart like their dad? I have so many questions! I am so excited to meet this child of mine when it comes!

The Most Amazing Husband Ever!

I must have done something really good in the pre-exsistance to be blessed with such a wonderful husband! The past few weeks I have been quite sick and Jacob has been the one to suffer from it, but not once has he complained. The kitchen makes me nauseas so can I forget about making dinner, and the dishes are out of the question. I seriously haven't made dinner for a couple of weeks and Jacob has just been so perfect doing what ever he can to help me. I really couldn't ask for a more perfect husband! Even on my more emotional days he doesn't get frustrated with me, he just patiently waits for me to calm down and hugs me and tells me he loves me. He goes to work all day and then comes home and takes care of me all evening! I don't know what I would do without him, and I don't want to find out! He is so excited to be a daddy, and is very anxious to find out the gender of our baby! He is going to be such a good dad! I just love him so much!

A Week Off

It has been so much fun having Jacob off this week! The week has just gone by too quickly though! Jacob and I had big plans for his time off, most of which got ruined by morning sickness unfortunately. It would have been really fun to go to St. George and see family during his break, the thought of a 10 1/2 hour drive in the car is just nauseating to me! We had plans to go to the beach and to go to the temple in Oakland, and to go find some redwoods. Mostly we have just stayed home and enjoyed each others company. We have slept in late everyday, watched movies, played games, and just enjoyed being married! This time together has been so special and fun, it is going to be hard to send him back to work on Monay! All week long we have thought about how different this week would have been if we already had a baby! We are so excited for our little bundle of joy! Life will be completely changed, and we can hardly wait!
Yesterday we finally were able to switch over our insurance so that I can go to the doctors, although it won't be completely switched over until the first of May so I still do have to wait a couple of weeks before I can go into my first appointment. I'm a little anxious at having to wait for so long to go to my first appointment. Actually I'm kind of anxious about going to the doctors at all! I'm a very private person when it comes to my body. In fact I get embarrassed when buying bras! I just hope I can schedule the appointment for a time when Jacob can come with me! Jacob's job isn't one he can just take off for an hour or so to go to an appointment, and I know lots of women go to their baby appointments by themselves, but at least for the first one I really hope Jacob we can schedule it so he can come.

Bugged!

So yesterday Jacob went to turn in his phase grad application to his Sargent and he got in trouble because his hair wasn't quite short enough and they said it didn't have a "tapered appearance." They told him he couldn't turn in his application for 4 weeks and that for the next 4 weeks he had to get a hair cut every Thursday and go show them that he did it on Friday. I for one am quite bugged with them. Jacob isn't as mad at them as I am. He is a lot more even tempered than me. So after class yesterday we went to get his haircut, and everybody and their brother was there getting haircuts because it was payday. We finally got tired of the wait and decided to go buy some clippers and I could just cut Jacobs hair myself! Now I am not sure what we were thinking when we bought the clippers but I have no idea how to cut hair! That is Sarah's job! Before I got started Jacob decided that this could just be a practice hair cut and then we could just shave it off anyway because it might impress his Sargent that he was so willing to follow the rules that he shaved of all of his hair. So I tried to cut it nice, I really did, but in the end there really was no hope for his hair except to just shave it off! Jacob now looks like he is fresh out of basic again! It is a good thing he looks cute with no hair! I just love that boy of mine!
