Pretending to be a baby

Rachel is always and forever pretending to be a baby. I'm not sure where she learned this from, but this is her pretending to do this silly inch-worm crawling/scooting thing across the ground.

 

 

 

She makes me laugh because when she is pretending to be a baby on the carpet it takes her so long to get anywhere that she gives up and pretends to be a puppy instead so she can get where she is going and then she pretends to be a baby again. I hope she likes having a real baby around! I'm think she will probably love her little brother, but not love the extra attention he will be stealing from mommy! We will see how she does with this transition!

Imagination!

My little Rachel girl love love loves to pretend, and I love it! She is always pretending she is some sort of animal (puppy, cat, lion, frog), a baby, or that she is going to work, or doing all sorts of things. In this first picture she got her baby and a few teddy bears and they all sat in my cupboard and she told me they were on a bus.  She now quite regularly goes for rides on a bus in this cupboard. The thing the cracks me up is that this cupboard is always a bus, but one of my other cupboards is always a car.


In this next picture, Rachel is pretending this bag is a coat. Its the bag we keep our sidewalk chalk in and she quite regularly has to dump it out to wear her coat.

She also likes to try on mommy's clothes. She put this pair of shorts on all by herself.

I love this pretending stage that Rachel is in! She is so cute and it is so much fun to hear what is going on in her little head! I love this girl!

Thunder

For some reason, it seems like our coolest storms during this monsoon season have been on Sunday afternoons. Rachel takes after her mommy in that she loves to watch the storms and she loves to hear the thunder! I love the way she says thunder. 

I decided that I love monsoon season except I wish it didn't start til September because there have been many days we haven't been able to go swimming because of the lightning being too close and the storms rolling in. If it just waited til September to get here then the pools are closed anyway and we would be more content to stay home and watch the rain. 

The End is Near

Okay so I'm a little behind on blogging but I'm going to play catch up as long as my little ones will allow. :)

I just had to get a picture of me in my favorite maternity outfit this pregnancy. I decided I love maxi-dresses. I would have worn this dress every single Sunday of my pregnancy if I didn't think that would have been tacky! It was so comfy and I just loved it!

Here is my belly at 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Just one more week before I would meet my little man, and I am was super ready!


I was nervous for sure, don't get me wrong, but I was so excited to hold my little one in my arms!
