Christmas

We had a fun simple Christmas this year and we all loved it. I won't go into too much detail, (mostly because I'm busy) but here are a few pictures.

 Christmas jammies! I love that the little boys match! Jacob and I got matching jammie pants too, and Rachel noticed that she was the only one that didn't match with anyone. (She needs a sister!)

 Elijah was the first kid awake, and consequently the first to discover the candy trail. :) We woke the other two kids up so that they wouldn't miss out. 

Stockings

 We got a swing from Grandma and Grandpa Jo (my parents) and the kids are in heaven! We hung it up in our pecan tree in the back yard and the kids love being able to go out and swing in it.

 Elijah threw a fit anytime we brought him back inside and away from the swing. I'm talking fully on belly flop on the ground fit. I honestly couldn't help but laugh, because it is really really funny. I love this funny boy!

Hungry

Now that Elijah can climb on chairs, it's hard to keep him out of trouble. Here he is helping himself to some applesauce.

Let it snow

2 days after Christmas we had a blizzard. Winter storm Goliath came passing through Portales and left snow drifts everywhere. All during the storm, the wind was blowing 40-50 mph with gusts up to 80! In our yard we were left with snow drifts about 4 ft high but in most places there was no snow at all. In other places in town and on the dairys, there were drifts 10 or more feet high!  It was a wild storm! There were people without power for a week because of it. Thankfully we had power the entire time. Because we would have been cold! There was ice about 1/2 inch thick on the INSIDE of our windows! Church was canceled for our whole stake! They are calling it a historic storm. Thankfully that isn't the norm around here. 

Anyway, here are a few pictures of our family playing outside a few days later.

Soooo sleepy

Fell asleep at the wheel

So Elijah is down to just one nap a day. He prefers his nap in the mornings, but it's easier on me if he will sleep in the afternoon. He's been falling asleep in random places because of it. The other day he was outside playing in the toy car when he just couldn't stay awake any longer.
