Uh Oh...

My little one is learning how to get into things. The other day Jacob and I were just chatting and realized we hadn't heard from Rachel for a few minutes. I went in search of her and this is what I found.

I love it that she is learning and trying to discover new things. She is so busy and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Crafts

I've been feeling really crafty lately which if you know me is REALLY weird. Blame pinterest. Blame being stuck in the house all day long. Blame what ever you like, but I have been wanting to make everything! New foods, clothes for Rachel, clothes for me, signs, decorations, anything you can think of, I want to turn into a project and make. 

 Here are a few of the crafty things I've done recently:

I've made a few other things, a skirt and shirt and multiple pajama pants for Rachel, pajama bottoms for Jacob. I've tried out tons of new recipes some of which were yummier than others and I have plans for many many more crafts. Anyone want to come get their craft on with me?

My silly little girl gets so stir crazy being cooped up in our house all day. I have to make sure I take her outside at least once a day for her (and my) sanity! This morning she kept taking me to the front door and knocking on it so that we could go outside. What a funny baby! 

Halloween

Okay, time to play catch up a little here. I've been a slacker blogger as of late but I'm repenting. Mostly the next few posts will just be some pictures I never got around to posting.

We had such a fun Halloween Weekend with our little family! We are just having a blast being together! Rachel's favorite part of Halloween? The chocolate! She quickly figured out what it was we were giving out to all of the other kids!

We didn't take her trick or treating and actually we didn't even dress her up on Halloween. We went to a trunk or treat for our ward a few days earlier and another Halloween carnival here on base and that was good enough for us.

Life

Our lives have been busy and crazy and wonderful and fun and full of changes since Jacob got done with training a month ago! (Wow has it already been a month?) We love it here it Tucson! It has been so fun living here in our new place and getting used to being a family of three again. It was crazy coming here. I was getting used to the idea of it being fall in St. George and we moved here and it is summer again! It has been in the 80's almost every day. The weather has been perfect for going on long walks with Rachel and exploring our new neighborhood! It is so nice, there are a couple of parks really close to our house that we have been walking to almost everyday. Rachel is pretty funny. Every morning she takes my hand and walks me over to find the stroller so I can take her for a walk. Just recently we bought her some shoes since she is walking all over. If she finds her shoes anywhere she always brings them to me and puts them in my hands because she knows she has to have shoes on before we will go anywhere. It amazes me how fast Rachel picks up on things. As soon as we moved here we started putting Rachel to sleep in her own room for the first time ever. We also started putting her to sleep at bed time with out nursing which at first she hated but she is getting the hang of it pretty well I think. Some nights she goes to sleep with out a peep. She even slept all the way through the night the other night which hasn't happened for literally months. Most nights she still wakes up once or twice though but it was so nice to sleep all the way through the night!

 We are getting settled here and it is so nice. We love our new place. It is bigger than anything we have lived in together before and much nicer too. I wish everyone could come visit us and play with us in our new house!  I am loving  having my own kitchen to make what ever I want in! It is so fun to get to make dinners for Jacob again. He is so nice and loves everything I make (more because of that fact that I am the one making it than because of what it tastes like I'm sure) and it is nice to know he is being fed and taken care of. :)

I think Rachel misses playing with her cousins. Anytime we see other kids she gets so excited and wants to play with them! In fact just a little while ago a neighbor was outside playing Frisbee with her kids and Rachel sat at the window calling out to them and waving at them. She is such a social little girl. I'm not sure who she gets it from because neither Jacob or I are that way. I wonder if we were as kids? Crazy girl! Well she is up from her nap so I better go!
