I can't believe this little guy is 4 months old!!! He is getting big way too fast! Life in general has been good but a little crazy. I've been having a really hard time finding time to blog with three kids. I remember my sisters having blogs and wondering why they never updated them. Now I know, life with kids is busy and crazy! We are currently still living with Jacob's parents and couldn't be more grateful to be here. The only thing that would make it better would be if Jacob were here too, but then that would defeat the purpose in being here. We will leave here on about 3 weeks and be with Jacob in about 4. We can hardly wait to be with that boy again! I know we will all miss being here with Jacob's parents though! Let me just tell you, they are amazing!!
Anyway, back to the four month old.
Elijah is in 12 month clothes, and size 3 diapers. I've had to switch around with diapers, trying to find a brand that he doesnt explode through every single time he poops.,the winner so far is...LUVS. He still does explode, but not nearly as often.
He weighs 18 pounds! Seriously this kid is getting big! I will take him to the doctor next week and we will see what he weighs and how long he is there.
He is the smiliest baby, seriously. All you have to do is make eye contact and talk to him and he gives you the biggest grins! He is super sweet and a super mellow kid.
He has just started to like toys. If you put them in front of him, he will grab them. They have to be in his reach though because he doesnt reach out far.
He loves bathtime still. He likes to wiggly and splash in the tub, and doesn't mind too much when his brother splashes him back. In their last bath, Kent was bring wild and the water seriously went over Elijah's face at least 3 times and while he looked surprised, he never cried.
Elijah has been watching me eat and I've been giving him tastes of things. I think I'm going to start feeding him baby food soon. I think he's going to like it. I know he likes sucking on bananas already, he just makes a funny face when he gets a little piece.
He wakes up often in the night to nurse.
Elijah loves his siblings! He loves to watch them play and he LOVES it when they will stop playing long enough to talk to him. Rachel is a good helper with Elijah. If he's being fussy and I need to get something done, she will talk to him and make him happy.
Elijah can roll over but he doesn't very often. I'm not sure that he realizes that he can roll over, or that he realizes what the purpose of rolling over is.
There is more I could write but my kids are waking up so this will have to do for now. I love this little Elijah boy, and I'm so glad he's in our family!
